Audio Recorder PCF for Power Apps
Add a polished record/stop button to any form. The control captures microphone audio in the browser, shows a live timer and recording indicator, and hands the finished clip back as a file-ready data URL. Works in both canvas and model-driven apps, and the included guide shows the Power Automate flow that saves recordings as real file attachments.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work in canvas and model-driven apps?
Yes. One control supports both app types, and the included guide covers each — model-driven forms have no native recording option at all.
Can't I just use the built-in Microphone control?
You can, for basic needs. The native control is unstyleable, records in inconsistent formats across devices, and leaves you to hand-wire the save plumbing. This gives you a brandable recorder, consistent output, and a guide showing the full save-to-file pattern.
Where do recordings get saved?
The control hands the clip back as a base64 data URL. The guide shows a Power Automate flow that decodes it and saves it as a real file — a Voice Notes table in Dataverse from a canvas app, or a note attachment on a Dataverse row from a model-driven app.
Can I match my brand colors?
Yes. Set the Accent Color property to any hex value, and rename the Record / Stop buttons.
Can I limit recording length?
Yes. Set Max Duration (up to 600 seconds) and the control auto-stops there.
Do I need to know TypeScript?
No. Everything is configured through the property pane. The source is there if you ever want it.
